Elmo and Cookie Monster!

This week, we watched a sesame street video about Elmo and the Cookie Monster. Elmo showed the kids how to play nicely and the Cookie Monster helped the kids to think about words that start with the letter 'c'. We talked about Elmo and Cookie Monster - their colour, what texture they have, their facial features and face shape. Then, we got to crafting!

Here is the end product - how amazing do they look?

Dinosaurs!

We made stuffed Dinosaurs in the classroom. First we had to colour our Dinosaurs for some personality, then we stuffed them with cotton wool and closed them properly.

We even decided that all the Dinosaurs will live on Dinosaur planet. The children loved it and we didn't use any paint, I wanted them to practice their grip while holding crayons.

Evil minions look funny!

This week, the kids had a lot of fun making evil minions out of toilet rolls. It wasn't an easy task, here's how we did it:

1. First, we glued on purple paper on to the roll - this required careful rolling to avoid creasing.

2. Then, we gave the minion black shorts by rolling on black paper.

3. After that, the best part was giving the minion funny eyes and teeth - this required spatial awareness of facial features.

4. Finally, we used our cutting skills to cut out funny hair for the minion!
