Jellyfish!

I had a lovely time with the children this year and we enjoyed the last ECA together. We finished our Jellyfish craft with a bang.
They were a great bunch and full of energy. They made me laugh every Monday and I will miss my reception students next year. I wish them all the best for year one.

Crown time!

Today we made an accessory from one of our favourite cartoons - Ben and Holly!

It wasn't as easy task and it required some fine motor control and cutting skills.

1. First, we had to get an elastic band through the holes to make the crown stay on the head.

2. Then, we got creative and pasted some patterns on the crown.

3. Finally, we cut out the top ridges to make our toilet rolls look like crowns!

Have a look at how we did it and what the final product looked like!

'M' for Mike the Monster!

This week, we had a lot of fun making Mike! He is such a funny character and the kids really enjoyed making him look scary and funny. They made it look easy, but there were several steps that they had to follow:

1. Paste arms and legs at the back, before we started painting.
2. Cut out Mike's eye.
3. Paint Mike green and give him all his facial parts.
4. Add glue inside Mike's mouth (carefully without getting paint on the glue stick), to give him his teeth.

And here is the end result!

Here are some highlights of our ECA Arts and Crafts class.

We made puppies and started on our jellyfish craft which we will finish next week.

The children really had fun choosing their own colours and working on their animals. I can't wait to see what it will look like next week.
