Body Tracing!

This body tracing activity is a great art project for kids who like to work big. It encourages them to explore self awareness while making a self portrait.

The Savannah...

Today for our weekly ECA sand and play we learned about Animals that live in the Savannah. We drew a lake and pour sand onto our tray. We added rocks and plants and played with the animals. The rainy season started and all the animals had to go hide in cave to avoid getting wet. 

When our play time ended then we all tidied up together. We cleaned up the animals, rocks and plants and poured all the sand back in the bucket where we found it. 

Foil Collage!

Foil is one of our favourite art mediums. It’s cheap, easy to find, sparkly, reflective and really cool! We’ve painted on foil, drawn on foil, finger painted on foil and this afternoon, we finally got around to doing foil collage.This is a simple art activity that requires little set up and not much clean up either – foil collage is the perfect quick and easy art activity for kids.

Desert animals...

Today we traveled to the desert and learned about the animals that live in it. We poured the sand into our tray, picked rocks, leaves, tress and animals and created a perfect habitat for our animals. We then tidied up all the objects used together and poured the sand back in the bucket. We had a love of fun and tidied up really nicely!
