ECA sand and play

Today for our sand and play ECA we experimented with sand and glue on paper. Some chose to explore with sand and others explored with other materials.

When everyone was finished we then went outside to have a little sand play!

Let's make cupcakes!
Today we learned how to make cupcakes! We pretended to have our little bakery and decorate our cupcakes.
We pored sand in each cup and added shaving cream for the pretend icing.
We decorated the top with glitter and sequins!

The children really enjoyed this activity!

Sand and play: spirals and zigzag...

This week reception has been working on drawing, making and painting lines:

Can you make a zigzag? with sticks? can you draw a zigzag? can you trace it and make a zigzag with rocks? leaves?
What other lines can you make?
vertical line? horizontal line?
Spirals? Where can you see spirals in nature? snails? sea shells?
