Pasta faces!

We had so much fun making art using pasta ! This week everyone is learning about 'ourselves' so we decided to make faces out of food. First, we looked at our faces in a mirror and talked about what we could see. Then we had a chat about what we can do with our ears, nose, mouth and eyes. Finally, we coloured some paper plates and used pasta to make a nose, mouth, ears, eyes and hair. It was so much fun and the children were talking about their faces while they were crafting.
Here is some of the finished work!

Balloon Painting fun!

We had so much fun filling our balloons with water and then choosing our own paint to make balloon imprints. After that we took forks and made floral  imprints on our canvasses.

The children were in charge of their own colour trays and it was great to see their imaginations take over.

When we finished our canvasses, we mixed all the different colours we had together and started making shapes and drawing what came to mind.

I had just as much fun with them.

Sensory club fun!

We had a great start to our sensory club. This week, the children enjoyed the textures of gel bags and cloud dough. It was great to see how creative they were; some children drew pictures and letters, with their fingers, on the gel bags while others moved the items (that were inside the bags) around. In the cloud dough tray, some children made a farm and the rest just enjoyed the feel of the dough between their fingers. Here are some pictures of the fun that we had!
