Stencil Art

We worked on our fine motor skills by tracing and painting different shapes, and finishing it off by painting the background. It was a well liked activity and the children could draw me a representation of their characters. Conversation was flowing as they were telling each other about the different animals and shapes they were painting. 

Little Einsteins go on an adventure!

This week, we did the famous 'rocket' from Little Einsteins. The kids absolutely love this cartoon so they really enjoyed this craft. Additionally, they even got to do some role play once they finished the rocket. Here is how we made it:

First, we wrapped red tissue paper around a plastic cup to give the rocket some colour (fine motor skills)

Then, we pasted in the window and put the little Einsteins inside it (spatial awareness)

After that, we gave the rocket some fans on the side by cutting toilet rolls and taping it on (balance and
coordination)

Finally, we gave the rocket some aerials!

Ninja turtles!

We had a fantastic ECA making the 'teenage mutant ninja turtles'! The kids picked out their favourite turtle and then collaged the face in green before finally adding the eye masks and mouth.
