Sand and play: spirals and zigzag...

This week reception has been working on drawing, making and painting lines:

Can you make a zigzag? with sticks? can you draw a zigzag? can you trace it and make a zigzag with rocks? leaves?
What other lines can you make?
vertical line? horizontal line?
Spirals? Where can you see spirals in nature? snails? sea shells?

ECA cartoon and craft

Today we watched the story about spot learning about colors at school.

We made a lovely spot using wooden sticks and created our own version of spot. Some painted spot in black, others wanted to paint his mouth and tongue.
We had a lot of fun and we did so well than we even had a sticker at the end!
Yeah!

We needed 6 wooden sticks for our dog, so we each counted our wooden sticks to make sure we had the correct amount:

Cookies and Rain?

For our sand and play ECA Chaffat and Lerler were encouraged to explore making various cookie shapes using cookie cutters.  After the cookie making they began playing with the texture of the sand and making rain.
