Dinosaur fun!

Boys and girls alike are so enchanted with dinosaurs! These prehistoric animals were large and powerful, no wonder kids are so completely fascinated!

Today we made our own Dinosaurs in the classroom.

We first had to cut our our dinosaurs to be the right shapes.

Then we started bringing them to life by adding colour.

I can't wait to see the end result.

December fun!

Christmas is getting closer and the kids were feeling very festive yesterday! We went on a leaf hunt so that we could make fresh, natural Christmas trees. The kids had a lot of fun doing this activity! After making the tree, they enjoyed decorating it with sequins and snow. Putting the final star on the top was the best part! Look at what they made - they look great!

You can’t beat a homemade, child-made holiday card, can you?

For our last ECA of this term, we made homemade holiday cards the children can use at home.

I've had an amazing time with the children this term and I look forward to exploring and making different arts and crafts next term.

Have a lovely holiday!

Making baubles for the tree!

This week, we are all in the mood for Christmas! So we made baubles to put on your Christmas tree! The Sensory Club ECA kids picked out the colours they wanted and used their muscle control to paint around while holding onto the string. They really enjoyed mixing colours and creating different patterns on their baubles.
Baubles are in the process of drying and we will send them home next week so that you can put it on your Christmas tree!

Candy Canes

In the craziness of the last few weeks of school before Christmas break, I brought out red and white paint and let the children make candy canes. It was great for coordination and control as they had to carefully place their red and white thumbs to form the shape of the cane.
