This week we started our planting. The seed of choice.... sunflowers.
Our first task was too empty some eggs, so we could use the shells as our flower pots. We saved the inside of the egg in a bowl so we could cook and eat it as a snack.... scrambled egg, it was very yummy.
Next the kids chose their seeds carefully and looked after them whilst we filled the egg shells with soil.
Next we planted and watered them and finally put them in the seed nursery, ready to germinate.
We will be keeping a diary of the growth and of course we will be having a competition to see who's can grow the tallest.
