This week we had lots of fun working on our letter recognition!

Phonics November 7th, 2013

Hello All,

This week we did a big review of the sounds S, A, T, and P.

We read the Jolly Phonics story book and the children were able to spot different objects and say their sounds. They especially loves ssssnake and I i i i inky the mouse.

They were able to trace their fingers along a textures letter shape for each sound.

Phonics 10th October - n!

This week we explored the n sound. 
We sang the n song and pretended to be aeroplanes making an nnnnn sound!
Later we thought about more things that started with n like nurse and ninja.

Phonics ECA 3rd October - i!

This week's ECA was all about the i sound. We sang our phonics song and played some games before getting to work on activities all about i for insects!

Phonics 26th September - p!

This week everything was about the letter p!

We sang the p song to help us remember the sound:

We thought of things that start with p. After that we played pirates:

And made pigs!

Phonics 19th September - T!

This week phonics ECA was all about the t sound.

We learnt the t song:

Made a land for the t rex:

Did some t related pictures:

And made the letter from playdough:
