Story Book Art October 9

Hello Everyone!

This week we continued learning and reading about hens. This week we read the classic story about The Little Red Hen and all the hard work she does without any help. The children enjoyed telling me that the hens friends were being unkind and that helping out was a great thing to do.

We finished making our hen puppets which turned out very well. Next week we will be able to use them in a role play activity which I am sure will have lots of re enactments of our 2 hen stories!

Phonics ECA 3rd October - i!

This week's ECA was all about the i sound. We sang our phonics song and played some games before getting to work on activities all about i for insects!

Story Book Art September 30

Hello Everyone!

This week we read the story about the very hungry and clever hen in Richard Warings book, " The Hungry Hen." They all really enjoyed how the hen outsmarted the sneaky fox!

The children began their puppets this week which we will finish off next Monday.

Phonics 26th September - p!

This week everything was about the letter p!

We sang the p song to help us remember the sound:

We thought of things that start with p. After that we played pirates:

And made pigs!

Mandarin Club

In Mandarin Club today we watched a cartoon all about some Mandarin sounds. We learnt the sounds and did some activities about them.

Role play and Dance

This week saw stage one of the ECA Role play crew transform into Mermaids. They requested it last week at their disco, so today the outfits are were designed. It was all about who could create the most stylish bikini top and funky fin for next Thursdays Under the Sea role play.
