ECA Outdoor Play

Hello Everyone,

Thanks to a rainy afternoon, our outdoor play was moved inside.

Our activity was role play and discovery. The kids were asked to come up with an idea of a story and then we would act it out.

The story was......

It has been very cold in Japan lately and some of the animals there have got stuck in the ice. As Thailand is warmer, if not wetter, we had the animals shipped over so that we could remove them from their ice traps.

Here's how we saved the animals......

There was great team work and we managed to free them all.

It was great fun if not a little cold...

Abstract Art Fun!

Kids get so hung up on drawing sometimes and this abstract art can be really liberating. It also helps learn how to color in the lines if you are working on fine motor control.

We started by drawing loops and squiggles that criss cross all over our paper. Next using pastel crayons we filled in the closed shapes with the colours that we liked.

Horton the elephant

Today we talked about the kind of animals we can see in the zoo or jungle. Then we chatted about elephants; their colour, size, body structure. This lead onto 'Horton' the elephant. After watching a short clip on him, we used plastic cups to make our very own Horton! It was so much fun, especially the part where we pretended to be elephants!!

 Stomp stomp stomp!

 We painted inside the cups this time.

 Then we stuck on ears, eyes and a trunk.

 And look what we made! Many, many Hortons!

ECA Outdoor Play

Hello Everyone,

We have been having lots of outdoor games over the last few weeks.

Hopscotch, hop races, parachute games, letters hunts and more. This week we played skittles and although some of us found it hard, we all had a great time.

Spaceship fun!

Alien craft ideas for children could be anything which you can imagine or create on your own. As aliens are imagination of human beings, you can also think of any figure and start making alien craft ideas. The children couldn't wait to get started. 

Pizza making is fun!

This week, we loved Peppa pigs trip to Italy so we decided to make some pizza of our own!

The kids had a lot of fun painting paper plates with 'tomato sauce' then adding on various ingredients. Through this activity, the kids learnt several new words - basil leaves, mushrooms, pepperoni, dough, and sprinkle.
