Making sun catchers!

This week, the kids of ECA made very cool sun catchers!

First they used their strong hands to 'shave off' crayons onto sticky baking paper. Then they practiced their hand-eye coordination and cut around the shapes. Now, you can put them on your windows to catch the sun light!

Robot Fun

Building robots is a fun and an  easy craft for kids that also helps encourage creative thinking and play! The children had fun designing their own robots and then created their own imaginative stories about the robots. The robots also help develop fine motor skills.

March 23rd - Quicksand                                                                     

This week we learnt all about quicksand.  What it looks like, how it behaves and how to be safe.  We then made our own quicksand outside using sand from our sandbox, adding water until the sand became quicksand and our animal toys would sink into the sand.

 

 Afterwards we came inside and drew pictures about our experiment and what we saw happen.
